Biography
Brad Davison's decade-long career in the music industry has touched on promotion of almost all formats. From breaking artists as diverse as System Of A Down to Jessica Simpson, Davidson is widely seen as one of the industry's fast-rising record executives.Davidson is currently Executive Vice President of S-Curve Records in New York. The label allows Davidson to work with a far-reaching lineup of artists, including Tom Jones, We the Kings, Little Jackie, as well as up-and-comers like Diane Birch and Care Bears on Fire.
Davidson started his career in 1998 at Columbia Records, the storied label where he helped gain national attention for System of A Down, first as a college rep and later as head of Columbia's college radio department. His work in the college department led to a post of regional promotions for the northeast, then the sixth largest radio market in the country. In 2002 Columbia brought Davidson back to New York where he worked as vice president in charge of pop promotions.
Prior to joining S-Curve records in 2008, Davidson was Vice President of pop at Reprise Records, where he worked to promote Green Day, Michael Buble and Enya, as well as Lil Scrappy and E-40. After Reprise Davidson served as Senior Vice President of TVT Records which is home to Hip Hop Icon Little Jon as well as Pitbull and Ying Yang Twins. Throughout his career, Davidson has developed a reputation for building strong relationships with music decision makers and for being at the forefront of new technologies and distribution channels, including online and multimedia content.
