During the spring semester, Recorded Music's 194 Recordings produced a video for Nyle Emerson, which is getting a lot of buzz on the internet. Nyle Emerson, Recorded Music 2009 graduate, debuted his video "Let The Beat Build" at the Earth Day Concert in the Eisner & Lubin Auditorium in Kimmel on April 16, 2009. Since then it has received overwhelming response across the country. It has been featured on some of the top influential blogs such as Gawker, Okayplayer, Kanye West's Blog, Nah Right, just to name a few. It has also been featured as the Spotlight video on YouTube's Music page, and has accumulated over 300,000 views on YouTube & Vimeo combined since it's debut only weeks ago.
The video was filmed in one take, with the audio being recorded simultaneously in Studio 510 in the Clive Davis Dept. Student-run 194 Recordings received the ProFunds Grant from NYU to produced the video, and was done in collaboration with Last Pictures. The video features Nyle alongside fellow band-mates Mitch Friedman, Dan Mensch, and Isaac "Funk-Nasty" Teel, as well as NYU students from many different departments within Tisch and musicians from the Steinhardt School.
Nyle was also featured in NYMag and recently appeared on MTV's It's On with Alexa Chung.
